Director Core Laboratory Services
About the Role
Fully accountable for the Clinical Laboratory Services across the Kaleida Health system. Clinical Laboratory Services includes but is not limited to the following laboratory technical areas: Chemistry, Immunology, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology/Virology, and Blood Bank. This role also encompasses oversight of the Essential Services Laboratory (ESL) functions across all Kaleida Health Laboratory sites. Oversees pre-analytical operations at the Center for Laboratory Medicine (Flint Facility). Responsible for meeting established goals, providing quality services, and contributing leadership skills to the success of the laboratory and the system.
Responsibilities
- Oversee Clinical Laboratory Services, including Chemistry, Immunology, Hematology, Coagulation, Urinalysis, Microbiology/Virology, and Blood Bank.
- Manage Essential Services Laboratory (ESL) functions across all Kaleida Health Laboratory sites.
- Oversee pre-analytical operations at the Center for Laboratory Medicine (Flint Facility).
- Ensure the laboratory meets established goals and provides quality services.
- Provide leadership to contribute to the success of the laboratory and the system.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in medical technology or a similar field (required).
- Master's degree in healthcare administration or MBA (preferred).
- Lab Technologist certification (required upon hire).
- ASCP certification (preferred).
- 7 to 10 years of experience in Laboratory leadership (required).
Pay
Salary Range: $125,769.93 - $172,933.70. Wage will be determined based on factors such as candidate's experience, qualifications, internal equity, and any applicable collective bargaining agreement.
