Director, Contracting Strategy & Administration
About the role
The Director, Contracting Strategy and Administration is a strategic leadership role responsible for the design, financial modeling, and lifecycle management of Servier’s commercial and payer value propositions. Reporting to the Executive Director, U.S. Pricing and Contracting, you will act as the architect of our commercial framework, ensuring all contracts optimize patient access while protecting long-term Gross-to-Net (GTN) performance.
Primary Responsibilities
Develop and maintain the commercial contracting framework, including the design of discount tiers, rebate structures, and value-based or outcomes-based models for all segments (Commercial, Medicare Part D, PBMs, and IDNs)
Lead the design of commercial tactics that respond to federal policy shifts, specifically the Inflation Reduction Act (IRA) and the evolving Maximum Fair Price (MFP) environment
Partner with Market Access Account Managers to provide real-time strategic guidance and negotiation support for national and regional payer accounts
Lead the pre-deal modeling process, conducting rigorous performance analytics to evaluate contract ROI and potential pull-through effectiveness
Utilize predictive analytics to conduct impact analyses of proposed contract strategies on Government Pricing, specifically forecasting Best Price (BP) implications before contract execution
Collaborate with Finance/GTN teams to ensure proposed contract terms are accurately reflected in actual-to-accrual data and revenue forecasting
Conduct post-deal evaluations to measure the financial and volume-based success of executed agreements against original projections
Oversee the end-to-end lifecycle of contract operations, ensuring strategic intent is accurately translated into legal language and operationalized within the Contract Management System (CMS)
Work closely with Legal and Compliance to draft and review contract language, minimizing operational ambiguity that could lead to rebate disputes
Manage and/or mentor a team of analysts, fostering a culture of strategic agility and analytical excellence
Present strategic deal recommendations to the U.S. Pricing Committee for approval

Education and Required Skills
Education: Bachelor’s degree required; MBA or advanced financial degree preferred
Experience: 8-10+ years of pharmaceutical/biotech industry experience, with at least 5 years specifically in Pricing, Contracting Strategy, or Managed Markets
Treatment Knowledge: Experience in Oncology or Rare Diseases is highly preferred
Technical Skills: Deep expertise in U.S. Payer/PBM economics and mastery of GTN financial modeling. High proficiency in evaluating the financial trade-offs between access and net price
Strategic Thinking: Proven ability to translate complex policy changes into actionable commercial strategies
Leadership: Strong ability to influence cross-functional stakeholders in Market Access, Finance, and Legal

Salary Range The salary range for this role is $193,000-$240,000. An employee’s pay position within the salary range will be based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range, and the range may be modified in the future. Employees in this position are also eligible for Short-Term and Long-Term incentive programs.
