Duties & Responsibilities
- Provides strategic direction for the Contract Compliance team, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and regulatory requirements.
- Oversees the accurate and timely processing of PBM rebates, Medicare Part D rebates, and MFP rebates, managing a portfolio of over 100 contractual agreements.
- Serves as a trusted advisor to Senior Management and Global, providing insights and recommendations to optimize Gross-to-Net (GTN) strategies and ensure compliance with evolving regulations.
- Leads the development of innovative strategies to manage the deduplication of MFP and 340B claims under the Inflation Reduction Act, ensuring compliance and operational efficiency.
- Stays ahead of changes in MFP regulations and guidelines, assessing their impact on the organization and implementing proactive strategies to maintain compliance and optimize program performance.
- Acts as a key liaison between Legal, Finance, Payer Sales, and Contract Development teams to ensure alignment and seamless execution of contractual obligations.
- Builds and maintains strong relationships with external vendors and partners to support the organization’s program goals and objectives.
- Effectively communicates complex contractual and regulatory requirements to internal and external stakeholders, including Global, Payer Sales leadership, and high-level executives at payer organizations.
- Leads the design and implementation of tools, processes, and metrics to track and report on contract and MFP performance, ensuring data-driven decision-making.
- Develops and executes strategies to optimize MFP policies, enhance operational efficiency, and maximize program participation.
- Establishes key performance indicators (KPIs) and metrics to measure the effectiveness of the MFP program, leveraging insights to drive continuous improvement.
- Drives innovation in GTN strategies, ensuring alignment with organizational financial goals and regulatory requirements.
- Leads, mentors, and develops a high-performing team of five professionals, fostering a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
- Provides strategic guidance and oversight to the team, ensuring alignment with organizational priorities and professional growth opportunities for team members.
- Inspires and motivates the team to achieve excellence in contract compliance and operational performance.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree required; advanced degree (MBA, JD, or equivalent) preferred.
- Minimum of eight (8) years of experience in Value & Access, financial strategy development, or a related commercial function within the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries.
- Minimum five (5) years of managerial experience, including direct management of teams and leadership of cross-functional projects or programs.
- Eight-plus (8+) years of experience in the pharmaceutical or healthcare industries, with a focus on strategy development, compliance, and leadership in Value and Access or related commercial functions.
- Strong financial acumen and analytical skills, with the ability to interpret complex data and translate insights into actionable strategies.
- Expertise in U.S. payer, managed care, gross-to-net, and 340B programs.
- Proven ability to develop and implement innovative solutions to address strategic challenges.
- Deep knowledge of Managed Markets, compliance requirements, and industry best practices.
- Exceptional strategic planning and analytical skills, with a track record of leading large-scale projects with significant financial impact.
- Outstanding communication and relationship-building skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Demonstrated leadership experience, including managing and developing high-performing teams and driving cross-functional collaboration in a matrixed environment.
