Located in beautiful Madison, Wisconsin, the Alliant Energy Center of Dane County is a multi-building entertainment venue hosting expositions, conventions, conferences, meetings, banquets, consumer shows, outdoor events, concerts, and more.

About the role

Step into a role at the heart of event-day energy, where food, beverage, and guest experience converge. You’ll lead operations, inspire teams, and ensure every detail—from service to staffing—runs seamlessly, leaving a lasting impression on every guest. Accountable for managing people, setting direction, and deploying resources, including performance evaluations, pay reviews, and hire/fire decisions. Results are achieved through the work of others, relying on influence and negotiation across the organization. Progression reflects growing technical expertise, business knowledge, and leadership capabilities. Responsible for business, functional, or operational areas, processes, or programs, which may include dotted-line or matrixed management.

Responsibilities

• Lead food and beverage operations in a high-energy, event-driven environment.
• Hire, train, and motivate diverse teams to deliver exceptional guest experiences.
• Ensure compliance with food safety and health regulations.
• Collaborate with dynamic teams in fast-paced, high-volume settings.
• Drive operational success and revenue through service excellence.
• Engage directly with clients and guests to strengthen relationships.

Requirements

• Hands-on experience in food and beverage operations, with large-scale venue or stadium exposure preferred.
• Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage teams in fast-paced environments.
• Excellent communication and customer service abilities.
• Solid knowledge of food safety and health regulations.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.
• 3–5 years of management experience.
• 3–5 years of related experience.

Pay

$56,270 – $72,820 per year.
