Director, Commercial Sourcing & Procurement
Position Summary
The Director, Commercial Sourcing and Procurement will lead the development of sourcing strategies for key vendors in North America, ensuring Acadia has access to top quality services, technologies, and vendor partners to support company's growth. This role is based in San Diego, CA, San Francisco, CA, or Princeton, NJ.
Primary Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop both immediate and long-term sourcing strategies/plans for the SG&A vendors with the focus on Commercial, IT, and professional services areas.
- Proactively work with business stakeholders including senior executives to identify sourcing needs and ensure sourcing strategies align with business goals and enable efficiency & innovation.
- Absolutely assess, benchmark & negotiate existing key SG&A vendor contracts and conduct gap analysis.
- Collaborate with Finance FP&A team on vendor cost budgeting, forecasting, and saving validation.
- Assess industry trends, evolving technology such as AI in procurement to ensure continuous automation of current sourcing process.
- Establish SG&A vendor governance program including vendor optimization, risk assessment and operational performance evaluation process.
Education/Experience/Skills
- Proven leadership ability to manage large vendor spend portfolios and drive global collaborations.
- Demonstrated success developing and executing SG&A category strategies in complex environments.
- 12+ years of extensive sourcing experience with deep knowledge of vendors for advertising agency, media, data analytics, meeting and events.
- Strong negotiation and vendor benchmarking experience across a range of IT contract types, including SaaS, consulting, and managed services agreements.
- Broad category sourcing experience in consulting and legal services will be a plus.
- Proficient procurement system knowledge of S2P (Coupa), CLM (Agiloft) and upcoming AI sourcing tools.
- Familiarity with sourcing saving report methodology and associated tools such as Smartsheet.
- BS/BA or equivalent combination of relevant education.

- Ensure compliance with corporate compliance SOP and policies.
- Available for up to 5% domestic or international travel as needed.
