Director, Clinical Data Sciences
The opportunity:
Odyssey is seeking a Director of Clinical Data Sciences to provide strategic and operational leadership across all clinical data management and data sciences activities in our clinical development portfolio. Reporting to the Head of Clinical Operations, you'll ensure the delivery of high-quality, reliable, and inspection-ready clinical trial data — while building the scalable processes, governance frameworks, and vendor oversight models that will support our growth.
You'll partner closely with clinical operations, biostatistics, statistical programming, medical monitoring, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, business development and external service providers to drive operational excellence and enable data-driven decision-making across the organization.
About you:
- BS/MS in a relevant discipline with 12+ years of clinical data management experience in a sponsor and/or CRO setting; life sciences background a plus
- Comprehensive knowledge of drug development and clinical research processes, GCP guidelines, regulations, and industry data standards related to clinical data management
- Deep expertise in data management systems and technologies, including EDC and data analytics platforms
- Experience building or scaling clinical data management capabilities within a growing organization, including vendor oversight and governance
- Strategic leadership and organizational development skills, with strong cross-functional influence and stakeholder management
- Critical thinker who operates with urgency in fast-paced environments, creating solutions and enabling decisions both autonomously and as part of a collaborative team
- Highly organized and detail-oriented, with a commitment to quality and the highest standards of professionalism and ethics
