About the role
Palestine Regional Medical Center (PRMC) provides a range of comprehensive care, including the latest in diagnostic, therapeutic, and rehabilitative services, both on an inpatient and outpatient basis. The Director of the Cath Lab leads the department in delivering exceptional interventional cardiology care.
Responsibilities
- Develops and implements departmental goals, strategies, and standards in alignment with clinical, legal, and regulatory expectations.
- Manages daily operations of the Cath Lab, including workflow, staffing, scheduling, and equipment readiness.
- Oversees employee performance, recruitment, onboarding, evaluation, and continuing education initiatives.
- Collaborates with cardiologists and clinical teams to ensure continuity of care and procedural excellence.
- Ensures compliance with accreditation standards, policies, and hospital protocols.
- Participates in procedures when needed as a scrub tech or assisting RN.
Requirements
- Strong clinical knowledge in cardiovascular diagnostics and interventional procedures.
- Excellent leadership and team development skills.
- Familiarity with performance improvement, budgeting, and policy development.
- Effective communication with multidisciplinary teams.
- Skilled in conflict resolution and decision-making.
- Ability to manage audits, compliance, and accreditation standards.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in nursing or related field (Required)
- Master’s Degree (Preferred)
- RN - Registered Nurse - State Licensure and/or Compact State Licensure in the state of practice Upon Hire (Required)
- BCLS - Basic Life Support Upon Hire (Required)
- ACLS - Advanced Cardiac Life Support Upon Hire (Required)
- 5+ years of experience in cardiac cath lab or related cardiovascular field (Required)
- Prior Experience in a leadership role in a clinical setting (Preferred)
