About the role

A seasoned and imaginative Director of Catering and Conference Services is sought after. This individual will drive topline revenue, manage guest and team requests, conduct BEO meetings, partner with other leaders to ensure departmental success, develop departmental goals, and execute all tasks to maximize potential.

Responsibilities

• Drive topline revenue and manage guest and team requests
• Conduct BEO meetings and partner with other leaders to ensure departmental success
• Develop departmental goals and execute tasks to maximize potential
• Manage and lead a team of Catering and Conference Services professionals
• Partner with other departments to ensure seamless execution of events
• Ensure compliance with all policies and procedures

Requirements

• An expert in Catering & Event services with 8+ years of progressive experience
• A strong leader and natural salesperson with a proven track record in guest and team member engagement and financial performance in an upscale, luxury hotel environment
• Prior experience opening a hotel is a plus
• Excellence in communication in English, both verbal and written
• Flexibility to meet the demands of a 24-hour operation

• Proven ability to manage and lead a team of Catering and Conference Services professionals
• Experience in developing and executing departmental goals
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with guests and team members
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Knowledge of industry trends and best practices
