For our client, we are seeking a Director Assistant Controller to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This role will support financial strategy, forecasting, and performance management initiatives that strengthen business visibility and decision-making. You will partner with executive leadership and cross-functional stakeholders to improve planning processes, financial discipline, controls, and resource allocation. The position offers the opportunity to influence enterprise performance and scalable financial operations within a technology-driven environment. Location: San Francisco, CA - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $230,000 – $270,000 annually Responsibilities Lead and nurture a team focused on general ledger, treasury, and technical accounting Develop and uphold accounting policies for precise and timely financial reporting compliant with US GAAP Facilitate month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close while improving efficiency and control standards Act as the US GAAP technical accounting specialist within the company Collaborate with Corporate Engineering on optimizing and automating accounting ERP systems Oversee the external audit process to ensure completion and compliance Support corporate development initiatives related to mergers and acquisitions Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field; CPA preferred 12+ years of progressive accounting experience, ideally from Big 4 or industry roles Strong US GAAP expertise and knowledge of financial reporting requirements Proven success in shortening close cycles and enhancing processes Experience in SOX-controlled environments is beneficial A proactive mindset focused on achieving high standards and outcomes Benefits Fast-paced and collaborative work environment Learning and development budget provided Competitive cash and equity compensation with career advancement opportunities 100% coverage of medical, dental, and vision insurance Up to $25K reimbursement for fertility, adoption, and parental planning services Flexible paid time off policy Monthly wellness stipend In-office benefits including lunch, commuter stipend, and snacks Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
