About the role

This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the future of semiconductor innovation by leading GlobalFoundries' Field Application Engineering organization supporting some of the industry's most strategic customers. The successful candidate will build and develop a high-performing team of FAEs, driving technical engagement, customer success, and design win strategy across emerging markets including AI infrastructure, silicon photonics, advanced packaging, networking, mobile, and power technologies. Serving as a critical link between customers, engineering, and business teams, this leader will influence technology roadmaps, accelerate revenue growth, remove technical barriers, and develop trusted executive-level relationships.

Responsibilities

• Build, develop, and lead a world-class team of Field Application Engineers supporting GF's largest strategic accounts. Create a culture of accountability, technical excellence, collaboration, and customer obsession. Coach and develop future technical leaders while raising the talent bar across the organization.
• Partner with Account Managers to identify, qualify, and advance new business opportunities. Lead the technical strategy behind design wins and major customer engagements. Influence customer roadmaps and align GF's differentiated solutions to future market opportunities. Translate customer requirements into business opportunities that drive growth and market share.
• Lead customer engagements from initial evaluation through tapeout, production ramp, and lifecycle support. Anticipate and remove technical barriers that could impact customer success. Drive disciplined opportunity management, forecasting, and design win execution.
• Develop trusted partnerships with engineering, architecture, product, operations, and executive leaders. Serve as a senior technical ambassador for GlobalFoundries. Represent GF at key customer engagements, industry events, and executive briefings.
• Perform all activities in a safe and responsible manner and support all Environmental, Health, Safety & Security requirements and programs.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related technical discipline. Advanced degree preferred.
• 15+ years of semiconductor industry experience.
• Experience leading customer-facing technical organizations.
• Deep understanding of semiconductor technologies, foundry ecosystems, design flows, and design-win processes.
• Proven success supporting strategic accounts.
• Exceptional communication, presentation, and executive engagement skills.

Pay

Expected salary range: $163,000.00 - $264,000.00. The exact salary will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and location.
