Director Application Development & Support

Responsibilities

• Drives project strategy to align with wider organizational goals and initiatives.
• Develops business cases that illustrate the cost vs. benefits of proposed initiatives.
• Represents the interests of business partners and IT as a principal liaison and consultant.
• Works closely with business partners and the Information Technology department to determine, address, and implement solutions for business needs.
• Ensures the reliability of deployed solutions by managing applications support and maintenance.
• Leads the implementation of projects and enhancements for new and existing applications, including the technical delivery of enterprise-wide initiatives.
• Develops methods of measuring and monitoring performance, and conveys project results to the appropriate parties.
• Establishes and monitors expectations to achieve company and department goals.
• Manages the performance, training, and evaluation of assigned staff.
• Maximizes team achievements by providing professional development.

Qualifications

• Minimum Required Education and Experience: Bachelor's Degree and 8 years' experience OR High School Diploma or GED/Equivalent and 12 years' experience in Information Technology including application development, support roles, and management.
• Preferred Education: Preferred Area of Study: Preferred Area of Experience: Financial services with Integration of third party solutions in on premise and cloud environment.
• Preferred Licenses or Certifications: Project Management Professional (PMP), Certified Agile Project Manager IAPM.

• Knowledge of information technology as it relates to managing development, principles, and practices.
• Ability to manage and customize third party solutions.
• Managing vendor relationships to escalate and ensure support of ongoing business.
• Ability to develop short term and long term plans to support business needs.
• Ability to assess, acquire and retain tor appropriately manage talent.
