Job Description

About the Role

This role serves as the mini-COO of ServiceNow's integration portfolio, working closely with the Sr. Director of Strategic Operations. The responsibilities include:

  • Own end-to-end accountability for integration outcomes across the APEX portfolio from close through end-state integration.
  • Define what success looks like for each integration: set the business objectives, establish success metrics, and hold workstream owners accountable to results.
  • Build playbooks and consistent practices to streamline future integrations.
  • Identify, own, and drive to resolution specific process areas critical to the outcome of integration.
  • Partner with the team and leadership to drive the strategic priorities of the COO Office and be accountable for integration outcomes.
  • Operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, setting direction with the IMO steerco, and ensuring the organization delivers against it.
  • Make decisions, drive clarity, and hold the portfolio accountable.
  • Fluent in both the boardroom and the weeds, advising the President & COO on integration strategy and resolving cross-functional escalations.

What You Will Do

Integration Business Ownership

  • Own end-to-end accountability for integration outcomes across the APEX portfolio from close through end-state integration.

  • Identify, own, and drive to resolution specific process areas critical to the outcome of integration.

  • Operate at the intersection of strategy and execution, setting direction with the IMO steerco, and ensuring the organization delivers against it.

  • Fluent in both the boardroom and the weeds, advising the President & COO on integration strategy and resolving cross-functional escalations.

COO Strategic Programs & Executive Engagement

  • Serve as a senior operator for the COO Office's strategic agenda, driving executive alignment, organizational change, and cross-functional momentum.
  • Own the relationships and working rhythms that connect the COO Office to the rest of the company, including ELT engagements, VP-level stakeholder relationships, and informal influence networks.
  • Lead the COO's participation in company-wide strategic cadences, ensuring the COO agenda is well-represented, well-prepared, and lands with impact.
  • Identify, shape, and launch new strategic opportunities for the COO team.
  • Prepare and own executive-facing materials for Amit, Anne, and ELT audiences.

COO Team Capability & Organizational Leadership

  • Build the COO team's strength and institutional capability, identifying gaps, developing talent, and creating conditions where the team consistently punches above its weight.
  • Lead and develop direct reports including the Sr. Staff PgM, ensuring the team is focused, growing, and working on the right things.
  • Represent the COO Office in cross-functional forums, carrying the credibility and judgment to speak for the team in high-stakes settings.
  • Step into hands-on execution when there is a gap, knowing when to lead from the front and when to delegate.

Qualifications

  • Experience operating at the executive interface, managing VP and C-suite relationships, navigating political complexity, and driving alignment across matrixed organizations where you had no direct authority.
  • Deep understanding of how large companies make decisions and move, working the formal and informal systems, working with the IMO steerco, and ensuring the organization delivers against the strategic agenda.
  • M&A integration experience, understanding the full lifecycle and what drives or destroys value post-close, and connecting integration execution to the broader COO strategic agenda.
  • Executive presence and communication, operating credibly with ELT audiences, producing materials that require minimal revision, and knowing when to push and when to listen.
  • Strong people leadership, developing others, building trust quickly, and expanding the capacity of every team you join.
  • High adaptability and resilience, bringing others along rather than getting disrupted, and bringing the team along as the environment moves fast.
  • Bachelor's degree required, MBA or advanced degree strongly preferred.
