Director, Analytics and Data Science (Hybrid)

About the role

This hands-on leadership position serves as the Data Analytics and Data Science subject-matter expert for IIE’s Enterprise Systems teams and stakeholders. The Director will lead all data-analytics and data-science initiatives, embed business intelligence into solution design and application maintenance, and migrate IIE to cloud-based data platforms in collaboration with internal teams.

Responsibilities

• Lead enterprise Data Analytics and Data Science efforts at IIE.
• Influence and embed Business Intelligence in solution design, application operations, and maintenance activities.
• Collaborate with multiple departments to enable data-driven decision-making.
• Design, implement, and deliver Data Analytics tools (e.g., Microsoft Power BI) to internal and external stakeholders.
• Oversee Business Intelligence activities: data-distribution analysis, insight generation, and predictive-model development.
• Manage vendor-led and in-house digital-media measurement programs and vendor relationships to ensure deliverables are met.
• Contribute to the evolution of measurement frameworks and engagement models for benchmarking performance and contextualizing KPIs.
• Develop sophisticated reporting capabilities in partnership with vendors and in-house teams in Operations, Research, Evaluation, Learning, and Fundraising.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree and at least eight years of related work experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Minimum five years in data and technology, three years in Enterprise Data Strategy, and three years leading Enterprise Data Management and Data Governance practices.
• Expert-level knowledge of Data Visualization with Power BI or similar tools.
