Director AML Compliance

About the role

For our client, we are seeking a Director AML Compliance to join the team of a leader in the Consumer Technology space. This leader will own the enterprise AML compliance function, ensuring the program is effective, well-governed, and aligned with applicable regulations. The role partners closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to strengthen due diligence, risk assessment, and oversight across new business initiatives. This is a high-impact leadership opportunity to influence compliance practices across multiple products and initiatives in a fast-moving, remote environment. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available

Pay

$160,000 – $197,700 annually

Responsibilities

• Oversee the AML program to ensure compliance with regulations
• Serve as the organization’s AML Compliance Officer
• Lead the AML Governance Committee and partner with senior management
• Monitor client due diligence programs for AML compliance
• Advise on risk assessments and develop best practices for due diligence
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance AML compliance efforts
• Provide ongoing guidance on new business initiatives related to AML compliance

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field required; Master’s degree preferred
• At least 10 years of experience leading AML compliance within payroll, banking, or FinTech
• Minimum of 5 years of leadership or management experience
• Demonstrated ability to synthesize information and prioritize tasks effectively
• Strong interpersonal, organizational, and analytical skills
