About the role

AI is moving fast. The gap between organizations that harness it and those that don’t is widening by the day—and our clients need a trusted guide to help them cross it. We’re looking for a Director-level AI Architect and Change Management Lead to join Embark’s growing Business Transformation practice and do exactly that.

Responsibilities

  • Serve as a trusted AI advisor to executive and mid-level stakeholders across client organizations—translating ambiguity into clear, actionable direction.
  • Lead AI governance engagements: designing frameworks, policies, risk management protocols, responsible use standards, and executive alignment strategies that actually stick.
  • Facilitate use-case identification workshops that connect business priorities to AI opportunity—pragmatic, prioritized, and grounded in reality (not hype).
  • Shape how our clients adopt AI: the frameworks, the governance, the fluency-building, and the vision.
  • Design and deliver AI training programs that build fluency at every level—from C-suite leaders setting strategy to frontline teams doing the work.
  • Drive adoption strategies that account for organizational culture, change readiness, and the human side of transformation.
  • Represent Embark at client meetings, industry events, and thought leadership opportunities to grow our profile in the AI advisory space.
  • Contribute to the development of Embark’s AI service offerings, delivery frameworks, and go-to-market positioning.
  • Leverage your network to generate leads and expand our AI transformation practice.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of progressive experience in management consulting (Big 4 or similar) or a transformation-focused role within a technology or finance organization.
  • Demonstrated experience advising executive stakeholders—CFOs, CIOs, and business unit leaders—on AI strategy, adoption, and governance.
  • Proven ability to design and facilitate workshops that translate business priorities into AI use cases and roadmaps.
  • Hands-on experience developing and delivering AI literacy and change management programs across organizational levels.
  • Strong command of the AI landscape—including generative AI, machine learning applications, and automation—and how these technologies apply within enterprise business functions.

Qualifications

  • Added bonus if you have:
  • MBA or advanced degree in a relevant field.
  • Certifications in AI, change management (e.g., Prosci), or related disciplines.
  • Experience supporting PE-backed or high-growth companies through technology and organizational transformation.
  • Familiarity with AI governance frameworks, responsible AI standards, or enterprise AI risk management.

Skills

  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
  • Experience with project management tools and methodologies.

Benefits

  • We pay 100% of insurance premiums on medical, dental, and vision for you AND your family.
  • Typical compensation range of $180,000–$200,000 based on experience.
  • We match 50% to 6% on our 401K.
  • Fully paid parental leave for all new parents.
  • Monthly stipend for family gym memberships.
  • Highly competitive salaries.
  • All the technology you’ll need to be successful—the most advanced software and accessories to ensure you get the job done in style.
  • Monthly team outings (think: axe throwing, a trip to the State Fair, go-kart races, etc.).
