Director, Advanced Network Planning

For our client, we are seeking a Director, Advanced Network Planning to join the team of a leader in the Telecommunications & Hardware space. This remote leadership role will shape the technical direction for advanced network planning and optimization initiatives. The position will bridge customer needs, market insights, research priorities, and productization efforts to help translate emerging concepts into market-ready capabilities. The ideal candidate will also partner closely with sales, customers, and hardware teams while building a high-performing group of network planning experts. Location: Remote - US based candidates only, no visa sponsorship available Compensation: $154,000 – $246,000 annually Responsibilities Lead technical engagements with sales teams and customers on network architecture Synthesize customer challenges and market insights into research themes Set the technical research agenda for network planning and optimization Define and communicate a compelling vision for advanced network planning Provide technical direction to translate concepts into market-ready capabilities Collaborate with hardware teams to analyze network architectures Build and mentor a high-performing team of network planning experts Qualifications 15+ years of telecommunications experience in technical and leadership roles 10+ years of expertise in optical and IP transport technologies Substantial experience in network planning and architecture analysis Proven leadership in telecommunications software applications from concept to market Experience with AI tools in software development Exceptional communication skills for complex technical topics Ability to evaluate AI methods for network planning and optimization Benefits Comprehensive medical, dental, and vision plans 401(K) and DCPP participation with company matching Employee Stock Purchase Program (ESPP) Employee Assistance Program (EAP) Company-paid holidays and paid sick leave Vacation time and compliance with Paid Family Leave laws Our client is an equal opportunity employer.
