What You’ll Do Lead and supervise a team of power construction laborers and equipment operators to complete underground electrical installation, repair, and maintenanceCoordinate daily tasks, assign responsibilities, and monitor team performance to meet deadlines and quality standardsOperate underground equipment such as trenchers, directional drills, and cable plows as needed for complex or priority tasksRead and apply blueprints, specifications, and job plans to ensure accurate underground power installationConduct safety briefings and enforce compliance with all federal, state, and company safety regulations for working with underground electrical systemsInspect job sites for hazards and implement corrective measures to maintain a safe work environmentCommunicate project updates, challenges, and progress to supervisors and stakeholdersOversee site restoration by managing backfill, compaction, and grading to meet project specificationsResolve issues related to underground power installation, utility conflicts, or equipment operation in real-timeTrain and mentor team members to enhance skills and job performance What You’ll Need Must be 18 years of age or olderAuthorization to work in the United StatesHigh school diploma or GED equivalent5 years of experience operating and maintaining underground power equipment and supervising crewsValid state driver’s license with two years of driving experience and an acceptable recordThree years of experience in underground power construction and equipment operation, with at least one year in a leadership roleAbility to read and interpret blueprints, job plans, and specifications for underground power projectsStrong ability to work both independently and as part of a teamWilling to work overtime, weekends, and extended hours as neededCapable of working safely in all weather conditions, including extreme temperatures and confined spacesSelf-motivated with strong communication and leadership skills Physical Abilities & Exposures Routinely: operates vehicles and heavy machinery; occasionally uses a ladder, squeezing and repetitive/fine hand motions; occasionally uses a keyboard and mouse, works with arms above shoulder level, repetitive bending and stooping, standing and walking, climbing stairs, able to lift greater than 55 pounds, works in confined spaces alone in remote locationsOccasionally: physical ability or exposure, physical ability or exposure, physical ability or exposure Why grow your career with us Your career here is more than just a job — it's your pathway to opportunity.
