Direct Support Worker, Residential

About the Role

This is a direct care opportunity in the Odyssey Residential Program, which provides single-family homes throughout the Frederick community to approved individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. The role facilitates client involvement in meaningful activities of daily life to support their overall mental health and wellbeing.

Responsibilities

• Facilitate client participation in therapeutic and social group activities by developing an understanding of what motivates them individually.
• Implement individual client care plans to meet client needs and goals.
• Provide transportation and attend clients’ medical appointments.

Schedule

• Monday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Tuesday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Wednesday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Thursday: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM
• Friday: OFF
• Saturday: OFF
• Sunday: 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM

Pay

$18.50 hourly.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field preferred.
• Positively referenced relevant work, student, or volunteer experience.
• A driver’s license with 3-points or less and access to an insured vehicle.
