Direct Support - West Side

About the role

The Devereux Massachusetts and Rhode Island team is seeking passionate individuals to join our Westside Residential Program. This position offers a pay range of $20.50-$23.87 per hour, depending on experience and education. Located in Rutland, MA, there are multiple 2nd and 3rd shift schedules available, with incentives for full-time and part-time positions.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct supervision and ensure the safety and security of all youth as assigned.
• Engage with youth in a meaningful and positive manner, teaching and prompting appropriate behaviors, and providing positive reinforcement.
• Teach and assist with Activities of Daily Living (ADL) skills.
• Complete required documentation, such as progress notes and incident reports.
• Collaborate with other professionals to build treatment plans and support the personal growth of youth.

Requirements

• Must be 21 years of age or older.
• Valid driver's license required.
• High School diploma or GED required.
• Bachelor's degree in related field preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals under 21 with psychological, emotional, and behavioral disorders, and/or autism spectrum disorders preferred.

Qualifications

• Passionate about working with and helping youth.
• Able to attend a 2-week paid orientation, Monday to Friday, 8AM to 4PM, in Rutland, MA.

Skills

• Strong organizational and communication skills.
• Ability to teach and assist with ADL skills.
• Positive reinforcement and behavior management skills.
• Experience with the DBT clinical model.
