Direct Support Professional - Weekends

About the role

Connections Services, LLC provides caregiver services to individuals who are developmentally disabled in Bloomington, MN group homes. We are hiring Direct Support Professionals for full‑ and part‑time shifts at several Bloomington homes.

Responsibilities

• Providing caregiver services to residents, including personal cares when appropriate and necessary
• Teaching and maintaining skills
• Cooking, meal preparation, and feeding assistance
• Providing support with hobbies, studies, and social activities
• Participating in the development of Individual Program Plans
• Medication administration
• Participating in fun recreational activities with residents

Qualifications

• 18 years of age or older
• Valid US driver's license
• Basic computer skills
• Willingness to do personal cares for residents, including bathing, toileting, dressing, administering medications, and lifts
• Must pass a Minnesota Department of Human Services Background Study; continued employment contingent on cleared background study
• Employees in driving positions also subject to a Motor Vehicle Background check (MVR)

Skills

• No degree required; high school diploma or equivalent sufficient
• People‑oriented – assist individuals with caregiver skills, provide home services, strive to improve quality of life
• Adaptable and flexible – enjoy work requiring frequent shifts in direction
• Dependable – provide efficient and exemplary personal care assistance

Pay
