What You’ll Be Doing
As a Direct Support Professional, you will support adults with disabilities in building independence and participating fully in their communities. In this role, you will:
- Support individuals with daily activities, personal goals, and life skills
- Encourage independence, dignity, and community inclusion
- Build positive relationships with individuals, families, caregivers, and community partners
- Plan meaningful and engaging activities based on each person’s goals and interests
- Help individuals connect with their communities through work, volunteer, and social opportunities
- Follow health and safety practices to provide high-quality support
- Complete documentation using basic mobile and computer systems
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and auto insurance
- Must be 21 years of age or older
- Must pass a background check
- Experience in caregiving, social work, life skills coaching, education, or volunteering is a plus, but not required

- Strong communication and teamwork skills

- Basic tech skills, including mobile phone use, email, Microsoft programs, and electronic documentation systems
