Direct Support Professional - Respite Care Full Time Evening- Mapaville

About the role

Pony Bird, Inc. is seeking Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) for our new Respite Program in Mapaville. The program focuses on providing respite supports with dignity and respect, and assisting individuals with developmental, physical, and medical needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide respite supports with dignity and respect
• Support individuals with developmental, physical, and medical needs
• Offer comprehensive, high-quality supports and services in a fun, enriching, and supportive environment
• Staff must demonstrate warmth, insight, interest, and respect for individuals with disabilities

Qualifications

• Schedules include Every Other Weekend
• High School diploma or GED
• Must complete required training classes within DMH/Licensure timelines
• Complete and maintain First Aid/CPR/AED certification and other DMH/Licensure training/certification requirements through the duration of employment
• Successfully complete the Pony Bird Level I Medication Aide program approved by the State of Missouri for medication administration, having an acceptable score on the written and clinical examinations and having received certification as Medication Aide
