Direct Support Professional- Residential IDD

About the role

Being a Direct Support Professional at Devereux/TCV means working with a dedicated team to improve the lives of individuals with disabilities. TCV Community Services, established in Western Pennsylvania over 50 years ago, supports individuals with various needs including mental health, intellectual disabilities, and behavioral health/substance abuse.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to support individuals with disabilities.
• Provide care that includes activities of daily living (ADL).
• Ensure compliance with state and federal regulations regarding criminal background checks, drug screenings, and physical examinations.
• Apply techniques learned during training to assist individuals effectively.

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older.
• Hold a High School Diploma or GED.
• Have a valid driver's license and a clean driving record for at least three years.
• Pass a PA state criminal history check, child abuse record check, and FBI clearance.
• Pass a pre-employment drug screening and TB test.
• Experience with the developmentally disabled or as a care provider is preferred.

Qualifications

• Must have experience with the developmentally disabled or as a care provider (ADL required).
• Be empathetic, patient, and able to lift up to 50+ pounds.
• Able to work flexible hours, rotating shifts between Week 1 and Week 2.

Pay

$18.25 - $20.96 per hour.

Schedule

Week 1: Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, Thursday - 10p-8a
Week 2: Monday, Tuesday, Friday, Saturday - 10p-8a
