Direct Support Professional (Residential Assistant)

About the role

Cooper Crossing is a transitional group residence home for high-risk boys and girls aged 5-16. We are seeking flexible days and hours for our program.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, organize, and support recreational and/or socialization activities
• Play an active role in leading the milieu staff through youth’s structured routine while collaborating with youth’s case manager, clinician, and prescriber
• Engage and interact with youth based on behavioral intervention plans
• Maintain a clean, safe environment
• Observe, document, and acknowledge positive behaviors
• Perform all other duties as assigned

Requirements

• Bachelor level degree in a related social service field (Psychology, Sociology, Education, Public Health etc.), Psychology preferred
• Preference to those interested in enrolling in an MSW program, to achieve growth within the agency
• High school diploma requires 3 years or more experience working with youth in a behavioral or group setting
• Must have a valid driver's license

Schedule

• Weekdays or Weekends
• Part time or On-Call Shift
