Direct Support Professional PT Days

About the role

We are seeking a dedicated individual to fill an Evenings Part-Time position for a Direct Support Professional. PT Day shift with the requirement of working every other weekend.

Requirements

• No Experience necessary, training provided to all staff
• Background in working with individuals with developmental disabilities, including autism, severe anxiety and depression, as well as Down syndrome
• Willingness to assist with personal hygiene tasks such as helping with dressing and running daily errands

Qualifications

• Provide support, skill training and therapeutic instruction to persons served
• Develop, maintain, increase, or maximize an individual's independence in self-care, physical, mental, and emotional health and development
• Work closely with persons served, their families, P.I. staff and community individuals to achieve quality outcomes

Skills

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills
• Knowledge of developmental disabilities and ability to provide appropriate support
