Direct Support Professional- Part Time

About the role

Direct Support Professional staff function as members of teams that are responsible for the direct care and instruction of individuals living in community residential homes in accordance with state, federal and Agency guidelines. Direct Support Professional staff will contribute to the creation of a safe, healthy emotional and physical environment for individuals.

Responsibilities

• Contribute to the creation of a safe, healthy emotional and physical environment for individuals
• Maintain records and documentation as required
• Ensure compliance with state, federal and Agency guidelines
• Provide direct care and instruction to individuals
• Communicate effectively with residents, families, and other team members
• Drive clients to and from activities as needed

Requirements

• Must have reliable transportation
• Candidates must be 18 years of age
• Candidates must have a high school diploma or GED
• Candidates must have a current valid driver's license

Qualifications

• Willing to undergo background checks, in accordance with local laws/regulations
