Direct Support Professional part-time

About the role
This position provides care and assistance to adults with diagnosed intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring they receive proper support throughout the day and in everyday activities. The selected candidate will maintain up-to-date progress notes to inform program managers, families, and senior leadership of necessary next steps.
Responsibilities
- Monitor and supervise individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, ensuring proper safety and care
- Provide for the personal needs and comfort of program individuals
- Assist individuals with activities of daily living, such as eating, cleaning, and basic hygiene
- Perform general housekeeping duties at the assigned location
- Use observational skills to track behavioral and physical condition changes
- Transport individuals to community outings and events
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED Equivalent
- Valid Georgia Driver’s License
- Effective verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively with diverse communities
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively
- Experience with Microsoft 365 Office Products
- Ability to organize, prioritize, and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a personal care assistant or certified nursing assistant

Paid lunches are available only for select positions assisting individuals with eating needs during typical meal periods. Final pay rate will be determined based on qualifications, experience, and education.
