Direct Support Professional (Part Time)

About the role

Community Options, Inc. is hiring Part-Time Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, and Home Health Aides in McKinney, TX to provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Provide attendant services, including transporting individuals to work and back, doctor appointments, and errands.
• Assist with daily routines such as cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and maintaining personal hygiene.
• Maintain the health and medical needs of individuals and report any concerns immediately.
• Aid in the learning and development of independent and community-based skills for individuals.
• Participate in community, social, and recreational activities with individuals.
• Drive individuals to medical appointments and activities in the community.
• Complete program documentation and billable records accurately and timely.
• Build a support network for individuals by developing and maintaining relationships with community members, businesses, and families.
• May perform additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving record.
• Ability to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supports.
• Exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situations.

Qualifications

No prior experience is required – paid training will be provided.

Pay

$12.50 per hour

Schedule

Primarily working Tuesday - Thursday days
