Direct Support Professional (Part-Time 2nd Shift)

Description Community Options, Inc. is a national non-profit agency providing services to individuals with disabilities in 11 states. We are actively seeking Part-Time and PRN Direct Support Professionals (DSP), Caregivers, Direct Care Staff, Home Health Aides in the Greenville and Spartanburg , SC areas to provide person-centered care tailored to meet the needs of individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Starting Pay: $16.00 per hour Shifts Available: 2nd Shift (4:00PM - 12:00AM) (Candidates must have weekend availability - must be able to work every other weekend) Responsibilities Provide direct care to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities tailored to their Individual Support Plan (ISP)/Person Centered Plan (PCP)Assist with daily routines including cleaning, cooking, feeding, medication administration, and maintaining personal hygieneMonitor the health and medical needs of individuals and immediately report any concernsAssist with the learning and development of independent and community-based skillsParticipate with individuals in community, social, and recreational activitiesDrive individuals to medical appointments and activities in the communityEnsure program documentation and billable records are completed accurately and timelyBuild a support network for individuals by developing and maintaining relationships with community members, businesses, and familiesAdditional tasks and responsibilities may be assignedEmployees must cooperate with the licensee and department staff in any inspection, inquiry or investigation Minimum Requirements High School Diploma or GEDValid driver’s license with a satisfactory driving recordAbility to establish a comfortable and supportive relationship with individuals receiving supportsAbility to exercise good judgment and remain calm in crisis situationEmployment is contingent upon successful completion of checks of criminal background, central registry, child abuse registry, and drug testing Why Community Options?
