Direct Support Professional (Overnight) - RT - Partial Benefits

About the role

The New Jersey Institute for Disabilities (NJID) is one of the largest not-for-profit agencies of its kind in the nation, serving infants, children, and adults with developmental and related disabilities. NJID offers specialized facilities, programs, and support throughout New Jersey. Join our dedicated staff of more than 500 and make a difference in someone's life! We are hiring Overnight Direct Support Professionals to assist residents with developmental disabilities with daily living activities in a residential setting. Please be advised that you must be awake during your shift. Position is located in Old Bridge, Middlesex County.

Responsibilities

• Assist and supervise activities related to daily living skills.
• Administer or assist with prescribed medication.
• Light housekeeping.
• Assist with transportation.
• Assist in the implementation of individual goals and objectives.
• Data entry using Therap (EHR).
• Assist residents in pursuing recreational, social, and community activities based on their preferences and individual plans.

Requirements

• HS diploma or equivalent.
• A valid driver's license in good standing and insurable through NJID's automobile insurance.
• Strong communication skills.
• No certification required.
• Must be awake during the shift.

Schedule

• Hours per work week: 32
• Weekly work schedule: Thurs 10p‑8a, Fri & Sat 10p‑9a
• Other shifts are available at this location.
