DIRECT SUPPORT PROFESSIONAL NEEDED IMMEDIATELY FOR THE FAYETTE AREA

Job Summary

The primary function of this position is to assist an adult woman with a disability in her daily activities and routines.

Duties & Responsibilities

• Assist with personal care: Lifting and transferring, personal grooming, showering, toileting, and helping with hair care.
• Completing daily maintenance tasks at home, including fixing laundry, vacuuming, dusting, cleaning the bathroom, dishwashing, cleaning the room, and helping with washing and arranging clothes.
• Domestic/household assistance: Keeping the home clean and organized, preparing laundry, drying, folding, and changing bed sheets.
• Health and safety care: Assisting with medications, daily range of motion or stretching, and attending medical appointments.
• Community assistance: Connecting to community activities, helping with social gatherings, attending appointments, entertaining in the house, grocery shopping, and assisting with doctor’s appointments.
• Physical exercise: Assisting with physical exercise and participating in community activities such as bowling, band practices, horse riding, and play.

Qualifications

• Ability to read and write English.
• Valid Georgia driver's license.
• Punctuality and reliability.

Work Schedule

Monday through Friday, 6:00 am to 8:30 am AND PM hours, 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm. Saturday and Sunday, 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. During school breaks, the schedule will be from 10 am to 6 pm.

Salary

$14/hour

Total Hours

40 hours weekly: No more than 40 hours per week.

Environment

Most work will be performed in the employer's home but may also be required in community settings.
