Direct Support Professional (Med Transporter)

About the role

Join Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health, a leading provider of services for individuals with intellectual disabilities, Autism Spectrum Disorder, and dual diagnoses. Based in Clermont, NY, this position involves assisting in residential programs, including medical transport and scheduling.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and administer medications safely and accurately
• Teach individuals about medications and medication management
• Accurately monitor and document medication administration
• Maintain records of medication effects and adverse reactions
• Report concerns to the RN on duty
• Report actual/potential medication errors per facility procedure
• Participate in medication error reduction practices

Requirements

• Medication administration certification
• Flexible schedule including weekend hours
• Minimum of two years of college in a degree-seeking program, preferably in a human services field
• Preferred BA degree in a human services field
• One year of related experience may substitute for the education requirement
• Minimum of 21 years of age

Pay

(Commensurate with education and experience)

• With HS Diploma/GED - $20.00 - $21.40 per hour
• With BA/BS - $21.00 - $22.47 per hour
• With MA/MS or higher - $22.00 - $23.54 per hour
