Direct Support Professional (Master's Degree Required)

About the Role

Join Action Behavior Centers to help children with autism build communication, social, and independent skills in a supportive, team-focused environment. This full-time position offers predictable daytime hours with optional Saturdays based on patient needs.

Schedule

Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–5:00 PM (no nights).

Location

3540 East Baseline Road Suite 100, Phoenix, AZ, 85042.

Responsibilities

• Work one-on-one with children ages 18 months to 8 years using play-based ABA therapy.
• Follow personalized treatment plans and collect simple session data.
• Help children learn through play, movement, reading, games, and hands-on activities.
• Stay active and engaged throughout therapy sessions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe therapy environment.
• Collaborate with a supportive team focused on helping kids grow and succeed.
• May occasionally support a nearby clinic if additional coverage is needed.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree (proof of degree required prior to employment).
• At least 18 years old.
• Bachelor’s Degree.
• Ability to lift up to 30 lbs.
• Comfortable sitting, standing, crouching, and getting on/off the floor frequently.
• Able to maintain an active pace while working with young children.
• Reliable attendance and punctuality.
• Willingness to complete paid RBT certification within 20 days of hire.

Experience that’s a plus (not required): Childcare experience (e.g., nanny, babysitter, preschool teacher, camp counselor, tutor), mental health roles (e.g., QMHP, behavioral health technician), paraprofessionals, caregivers, life skills assistants, or degrees in Psychology, Child Development, or Health Sciences.

Pay

Master’s Degree: $22–$28 per hour (based on education and previous ABA experience). First raise awarded after earning RBT certification.
