About the role
The Arc of the Ozarks is seeking a PRN Direct Support Professional (DSP) to provide support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. This is a non-guaranteed hours position requiring a 40-hour training period.
Responsibilities
- Educate clients on skills such as personal hygiene, cooking, grocery shopping, cleaning, and other activities of daily living.
- Explore various community businesses and social activities with clients while supporting their employment, household, and personal goals.
- Work hand in hand with your team to plan and advocate for clients.
Requirements
- A minimum of eighteen years of age.
- Possession of a diploma from an accredited High School or the equivalent.
- Passionate about working with individuals with disabilities and increasing their independence.
- Must successfully complete various trainings including CPR, First Aid, Medication Administration, MANDT System Workshop, OSHA regulations, Abuse & Neglect, Electronic Documentation, and others as required by the department or home location.
Qualifications

- Administering oral, rectal, vaginal, optic, ophthalmic, nasal, topical medications and insulin injections.

- Maintaining a safe, clean, and agreeable environment.
- Able to accurately report and record observations.
- Effective communication in oral and written form.
- Standing, stooping, lifting up to 50 lbs, pulling, and pushing items.
- Passing with satisfactory performance CPR, First Aid, and Behavior Intervention training.
- Maintaining a record of punctuality and attendance.
- Licensed and insured driver.

Pay
Positions start at $21.00 per hour!
Schedule
This is a PRN position with non-guaranteed hours. A mandatory two-week training period of 40 hours per week is required.
