About the role

This Direct Support Professional – Residential position is based in LeRoy, NY (14482) within Residential Services, reporting to the Residential Manager. It is a full‑time role (40 hours/week) with shifts Monday‑Wednesday 1 pm‑9 pm and Saturday‑Sunday 7 am‑3 pm. The starting wage is $21.55 per hour, plus a $0.75 weekend shift differential.

Responsibilities

• Provide personal care and assistance with activities of daily living, including hygiene, grooming, dressing, meals, and household tasks such as thorough cleaning.
• Support individuals in developing independence, self-help, and social skills.
• Ensure the health, safety, and well-being of individuals, including medication administration (if certified).
• Implement and document progress on individualized service plans and daily supports.
• Encourage community integration and participation in social and recreational activities.
• Drive agency vehicles for transportation as needed.
• Maintain positive, professional communication with individuals, families, and colleagues.
• Complete required training, certifications, and ongoing professional development.

Requirements

• No prior experience required—ideal candidates are dependable, friendly, caring, and trustworthy.
• Must meet Lifetime Assistance’s Vehicle Operator requirements (except overnight/relief shifts).
• First Aid/CPR, SCIP-R, and Medication Administration certification (or ability to obtain).
