Direct Support Professional (Intermittent/On-Call) - Human Services Technician

About the Role

This posting may be used to fill multiple permanent intermittent (on-call) Direct Support Professional positions within Community Based Services sites in Faribault, MN. Shifts include day, rotating (day/evening combination), or overnight, with shift differential for hours between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am. As a Direct Support Professional, you will be part of a team providing essential services to Minnesota’s most vulnerable residents.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with work, recreation, and activities of daily living.
• Lift, move, or position non-ambulatory or ambulatory individuals.
• Administer medications and implement instructions as directed.
• Respond to medical emergencies, including first aid and CPR.
• Transport and accompany individuals to medical appointments, community outings, recreational activities, and spiritual events.
• Respond therapeutically to individuals with challenging behaviors.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Basic math and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Travel required (transport individuals to appointments and activities).
