Direct Support Professional (Intermittent/On-Call) - Human Services Technician

About the role

This posting may be used to fill multiple permanent intermittent (on-call) Direct Support Professional positions within Community Based Services sites in Alexandria, MN. Shifts include day, rotating (day/evening combination), or overnight, with shift differential pay for hours worked between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am.

Responsibilities

• Assist individuals with work, recreation, and activities of daily living as needed.
• Lift, move, or position non-ambulatory or ambulatory individuals.
• Administer medications, implement instructions, and act accordingly as directed.
• Respond to medical emergencies, including first aid and CPR.
• Transport and accompany individuals to medical appointments, community outings, recreational activities, and spiritual events.
• Respond therapeutically to individuals with challenging behaviors.

Requirements

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Current and valid driver’s license.
• Basic math and communication skills.
• Basic computer skills.
• Travel required to transport and accompany individuals to appointments and activities.

Pay

$21.59 - $28.94 per hour.

Schedule

• Intermittent (on-call) positions.
• Shifts: Days, evenings, overnights, or rotating (e.g., 7:00 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.).
• Days of work vary; may include weekends and holidays.
