Direct Support Professional - Independent Contractor (JH)

About the role

InReach provides a wide variety of services to adults with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities. We hire Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) willing to make a difference in someone's life by providing companionship, care, and support.

Responsibilities

• Provide respite and community living and support services for 28 hours per week.
• Instruction and assistance in home living environments.
• Help individual identify and acquire valued social roles.
• Facilitate community integration.
• Help individual develop healthy social habits.
• Dispense medication and monitor dosages.
• Transport and accompany individual to and from day programs, work sites, and community activities.

Requirements

• High school diploma (or GED).
• Valid driver’s license.
• Successfully pass a drug screen and background check.
• One to two years of experience with the I/DD population preferred.

Pay

$20.35 per hour.

Schedule

• Monday–Friday: 4:00 p.m.–8:00 p.m.
• Sunday: 10:00 a.m.–6:00 p.m.
• Saturday hours available as well.

Employment Type

Independent Contractor (1099). Contractors must arrange and pay for state-required training, Occupational Accident Insurance, and administrative fees through a third-party Contract Management vendor.
