Direct Support Professional I - Child Care Worker (2981)

Pay: $21.00-$22.92/hour with a $4,000 sign-on bonus (50% paid at 6 months and 50% paid at 12 months).

• Monday 11p-9am
• Tuesday 11p-9am
• Saturday 11p-9am

Responsibilities

• Cares for students under the supervision of the Overnight Supervisor during overnight and morning routines.
• Meets all essential student needs each shift, according to guidelines.
• Performs interventions that support the Stetson School’s ACORN approach.
• Demonstrates caregiver qualities that treat all students with dignity and respect.
• Prevents interactions not sanctioned within the rules, practices, and policies of Stetson School.
• Avoids actions and disparaging comments that may be considered horseplay, roughhousing, and/or derogatory.
• Maintains appropriate staff-to-student interactions, including professional boundaries.
• Acts as a role model and reinforces pro-social behaviors.

Child Care Workers receive paid New Employee Orientation and training on CPR/First Aid, TCI, Defensive Driving, and Medication Administration Program (MAP), plus unit-specific training at the worksite.

Qualifications

• Standard driver’s license – class C or class D.
