About the role
The State of Minnesota seeks to fill multiple permanent, full-time (80 hours), part-time and intermittent (on-call) Direct Care positions within Community Based Services site in Kasson and West Concord, MN. Shifts available include Day, rotating (day/evening combination) OR overnight. We also offer shift differential for hours between 6:00 pm and 6:00 am.
Responsibilities
- Assist individuals when needed in the performance of work, recreation, and activities of daily living
- Lift, move, or position non-ambulatory or ambulatory individuals
- Administer medications, implement instructions, and act accordingly as directed
- Respond to medical emergencies, including first aid and CPR
- Transport and accompany individuals to medical appointments, community outings, recreational activities, and spiritual events
- Respond therapeutically to individuals with challenging behaviors
Requirements
- Must be at least 18 years of age
- Current and valid driver's license
- Basic math skills
- Clear communication skills
- Basic computer skills
Qualifications
- Preferred candidates will have a variety of experiences working effectively with others from different backgrounds and cultures
Skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Knowledge of behavioral health principles and practices

Pay
$21.59 - $28.94 / hourly
Schedule
Days/Evenings/Overnights/Rotating Shift (ex: 7:00a.m. – 3:30 p.m.; 3:00 p.m. – 11:00 p.m.; hours may vary depending on the needs of the program)
