Direct Support Professional - FT

Job Summary

Catholic Charities of Baltimore is seeking a Direct Support Professional to provide quality living support to individuals with intellectual and/or developmental disabilities (IDD).

Responsibilities

• Spend days supporting a group of fun, vibrant individuals who enjoy activities such as playing bingo, watching movies, singing, coloring, and reading.
• Support community engagement, including walks in the park and attending local events.
• Be a steady presence in important moments, such as family visits and milestones.
• Advocate for each person's rights and help build their confidence and sense of self.
• Keep clear, respectful records to ensure continuity of care and support.

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old.
• Valid driver’s license with at least 2 years of driving experience and no more than 3 points.
• Comfortable driving agency vehicles and assisting people who use wheelchairs.
• Able to lift up to 75 pounds, stand for long periods, and provide physical assistance when needed.
• Completion of Medication Technician Training Program (or willingness to complete).

Pay

Pay Range: $20.00 - $20.50 per hour (Depending on years of experience)

Schedule

Monday-Friday 8 AM - 4 PM
