About the role

Join our Situational Response Team as a Direct Support Professional (DSP) to float between our Somerset County Group Homes. This role offers the opportunity to gain a broader understanding of our Division of Developmental Disabilities (DDD) programs and grow your skill set. The ideal candidate will have flexibility in their schedule to meet the needs of the individuals we serve and reliable transportation to travel between group homes and day programs.

  • Trained in all 5 Somerset County group homes and the day program.
  • Willing and able to transport residents in company vehicles, as needed.
  • Trained to administer medication when needed in all homes.
  • Report to the Director of Residential Services to grow your skill set.
  • Increased pay rate due to the demands of flexibility and proficiency in multiple sites.

Responsibilities

  • Provide direct support to individuals with developmental disabilities in group homes and day programs.
  • Assist with daily living activities, personal care, and community integration.
  • Administer medication as needed and trained.
  • Transport residents using company vehicles.

Requirements

  • Must be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma or G.E.D. required.
  • Valid driver’s license with less than 5 points.
  • One year of experience working with persons with developmental disabilities in a DDD Group Home or Day Program.
  • Flexibility in schedule to float to all Somerset County DDD programs.
  • Reliable transportation to travel between group homes and day program.

Pay

The minimum hourly wage for this position is $25 per hour. Full-time qualified candidates who are hired will receive a signing bonus of $1,500.00 ($750.00 payable after completion of six months of continuous employment and the remaining $750.00 after completion of one year of continuous employment).

Schedule

Full-time position with flexibility required between 7:00 AM and 7:00 PM to meet the needs of the individuals served.
