Direct Support Professional Evenings/ Overnights

About the role

ReMed is a dynamic company dedicated to providing exceptional neurological rehabilitation to adults with brain injury. We are currently seeking a PRN Evening/Overnight Direct Support Professional to join our team in Columbia, Maryland.

Responsibilities

• Provide minimum to maximum assistance and/or supervision to promote clients' success in daily living tasks, recreational activities and vocational pursuits.
• Assist clients with personal care and hygiene, therapies, and driving and accompanying clients to appointments, activities and other outings.
• Work in our residential program, supporting clients with a variety of medically complicated and behaviorally challenging needs.

Requirements

• A high school diploma is required; an associate’s or bachelor’s degree is preferred.
• Candidates must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must have a valid driver's license and maintain responsible driving behaviors.
• The ability to communicate effectively with families, professionals, and co-workers is essential.
• The ability to demonstrate positive client interaction skills is essential.

Qualifications

We are looking for candidates who are comfortable working with a variety of medically complicated and behaviorally challenged clients. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are crucial.
