Direct Support Professional / DSP / Caregiver

About the role

Direct Support Professionals (also referred to as DSPs or Caregivers) support individuals with developmental disabilities to live as independently as possible. The position is based in Victoria, MN.

Responsibilities

• Helping residents with dining, mobility, health, and hygiene activities
• Accompanying individuals while running errands
• Attending special community occasions and fun activities like outdoor walks, games, and social events
• Assisting individuals in achieving their personal goals and desires

Requirements

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must possess an active driver’s license in good standing with a good driving record
• Willing and able to pass a background check
• Willing to complete an Adult CPR and First Aid course (preferred if already certified)
• Embody patience, kindness, and possess a servant’s heart and hands
• Ability to lift, push, and pull at least 50 pounds
