Direct Support Professional- DSP

Santa Maria area – entry-level, full-time (32 hours per week). Driver’s license required.

Schedule

• Monday: 2:00 PM – 10:00 PM
• Friday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Saturday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM
• Sunday: 6:00 AM – 2:00 PM

Pay

$19.50 per hour

Responsibilities

• Maintain a safe, supportive environment that ensures quality living for clients
• Assist, monitor, and teach individuals with preparation of daytime activities
• Encourage good personal hygiene and behavior appropriate in clients’ homes or apartments
• Perform activities such as grocery shopping, menu planning, meal preparation, and cleanup
• Encourage, motivate, and support clients with developmental disabilities and/or behavioral challenges
• Help plan, create, and organize tasks and schedules that promote goal achievement
• Provide consistent documentation of progress through case notes

Requirements

• Pass a background check
• Passion for helping others and belief in treating people with dignity and respect
• Ability to problem-solve and adapt to different client needs
• Strong communication skills and dependability
• Comfortable working independently in one-on-one settings
• Experience in a similar role or field (preferred, not required)
• Willingness to learn and grow in the role
