What You’ll Do

• Provide one-on-one support to individuals with developmental disabilities
• Support daily living skills such as cooking, cleaning, personal care, and transportation
• Encourage participation in social and community activities
• Help people achieve personal goals and celebrate progress
• Promote choice, independence, and self-advocacy
• Accurately document care, activities, and progress
• Communicate with team members to ensure consistent, quality support

What You Need

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Successful background check and required training
• At least 21 years old
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation with proof of insurance
• Ability to work safely and respectfully in clients’ homes and communities
• Calmness, reliability, and a desire to make a positive impact

Preferred Qualifications

• Demonstrated experience supporting individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities (I/DD) and/or autism
• Experience using foundational behavior-support strategies such as redirection, visual prompting, and environmental modification

Sign-On Bonus

$1,000 sign-on bonus available for eligible Direct Support Professional applicants hired by Creative Foundations, a Help at Home company, between 6/17/2026 and 12/31/2026. Bonus is paid in two increments: $500 after 500 hours worked and $500 after 1,000 hours worked. Employees must be actively employed at the time of payout and must reach the applicable hours-worked milestone by 6/30/2027.
