Direct Support Professional / DSP

Our 2,600-member team offers more than 10.2 million hours of meaningful support annually to 40,200 kids, adults, and families in 11,000 home, facility, and community locations across North Carolina and Virginia.

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in.
• Aid with daily tasks including housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
• Support personal care activities such as bathing, dressing, toiletry, and changing diapers.
• Offer employment support and assist with planning and organizing schedules.
• Document and report in the electronic health system of record.
• Transport clients to appointments and run errands as needed.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols knowledge.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or willingness to learn.
• Reliable transportation, driver's license, and current auto insurance.

Entry-level, on-the-job training is provided.
