Direct Support Professional / DSP

About the role

Easterseals PORT Health (ESPH) empowers individuals and strengthens communities through our mission. As a Direct Support Professional (DSP), you'll play a crucial role in achieving this mission by supporting people with Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities (IDD).

Responsibilities

• Provide care in the home of the individual and the community they live in.
• Aid with daily tasks such as housekeeping, meal preparation, cooking, and cleaning.
• Support personal care activities like bathing, dressing, toiletry, and changing diapers.
• Offer employment support and assist with planning and organizing schedules.
• Document and report in the electronic health system of record daily.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• Basic housekeeping, nutrition, and safety protocols knowledge.
• Interpersonal skills, attention to detail, and dependability.
• Proficiency with EHR systems or willingness to learn.
• Reliable transportation, driver's license, and current auto insurance.

Qualifications
