About the role

AHL HealthCare Group seeks Direct Support Professionals (DSPs) who can advocate, support, educate, and care for individuals with disabilities or mental illness. The goal is to help residents live in the least restrictive environment, fostering happiness, health, and fulfillment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with personal cares, ADLs, grooming, cooking, cleaning, and laundry.
• Demonstrate positive and supportive behavior with clients and coworkers.
• Administer medications, document services in electronic records and systems.
• Socialize with residents through games, movies, shopping, walks, bonfires, and fishing.
• Go on appointments and outings with clients and have fun!

Requirements

• Must be 19 years or older.
• Pass MN DHS Background Study.
• Every other weekend availability required.
• Driver’s license is required.

Who is AHL?

AHL Healthcare Group operates Community Residential Settings (CRS) homes for adults with developmental disabilities or mental illness across Minnesota. We also manage assisted living facilities, an IRTS facility, and the Bridges to Success program, focusing on community supports. Our corporate office is in Duluth, managing 12 CRS homes, and our Metro office in Fridley oversees 16 homes. Our Metro West division, based in Cokato, has expanded from 9 to 12 CRS homes since 2000, starting with one home. Compensation

$16.50 to $18.00 per hour.

Schedule

This is typically a part-time position with a rotating schedule, including every other weekend. Full-time opportunities may occasionally become available. We offer a variety of shifts to accommodate different schedules, such as AM Shift: 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM, PM Shift: 3:00 PM – 11:00 PM, and Overnight (NOC): 11:00 PM – 7:00 AM.
