About the Role

Direct Support Professionals in the WOW program help promote independence and self‑esteem for persons with disabilities by accompanying them into the community on a daily basis. The Day Services program provides individuals the opportunity to participate in a variety of group activities throughout the day at a site or in the community.

Responsibilities

• Accompany individuals with disabilities into the community to promote independence and self‑esteem.
• Facilitate participation in group activities both on‑site and in the community.
• Introduce individuals to community‑based and site‑based activities that inspire growth.
• Maintain a professional, patient, and empathetic demeanor while interacting with participants.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid NYS driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Computer proficiency: email, Google Suite, and database systems.

Qualifications

• Ability to drive and meet agency insurance driving‑record standards.
• Daily access to a vehicle.
• Ability to pass SCIP/CPR certification.
• Physical ability to lift up to 50 lb.

Pay

Hourly rate $19.45–$25.05, reflecting up to 20 years of experience.

Schedule

Monday – Friday, 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM.
